Bio

John is a GIS Analyst with over 20 years within GIS Consulting to private and public sector industries and experience with GIS, Information Management, mobile and web based solutions, and visual impact assessment applications. He has an extensive training and applied background with ESRI software, Visual Nature Studio and other GIS and 3D software. John’s project experience includes mining environmental impact assessments (EIA), renewable energy EIA (Wind Turbine /Solar), energy EIA (Transmission /Natural Gas Plants /Pipeline), transportation EIA (Road/Rail), constraints analysis/site selection, aggregate permitting, asset management, flood plain mapping, First Nation Traditional Land Use and Knowledge studies, Archaeology (Stage 1\2\3\4), engagement support, and visual impact assessments (VIA). He is proficient in GIS Project Management, mobile project\task lead, VIA project\task lead, data acquisition, processing, interpretation and analysis, mapping, web based solutions, automated reporting and data management. John also serves as one of the Operations Team Managers for Dillon's Spatial Information Management (SIM) team.

Little River Floodplain Mapping and Sandwich South Secondary Plan - Windsor, ON

Dillon was retained by the City of Windsor to provide updated Little River Floodplain Mapping from the 1985 limits and develop a stormwater management concept for the Sandwich South secondary plan area in conjunction with newly established floodplain limits. Both studies require a thorough examination of the hydrology and hydraulics of the Little River and its respective watershed.Read More
