Proactive Planning
When disaster strikes, a Disaster Debris Management (DDM) plan can facilitate a coordinated and efficient response. We provide the right level of service, ranging from DDM workshop delivery to the development of a complete DDM plan, to help you be proactive.
Benefits of a Disaster Debris Management Plan
A DDM Plan establishes an organized and cost-effective response. It moves your community from a reactive position to a proactive position, which is critical for managing debris. Key benefits of completing a DDM plan include:
- Clarify Responsibilities: Defines clear roles for all departments and interested parties.
- Implement Rapid Response: Pre-establishes contracts and scopes of work for service providers.
- Accelerate Recovery: Prioritizes key transportation routes for faster debris clearing.
- Manage Surge Capacity: Identifies and assesses temporary debris sites before an event.
- Secure Funding: Establishes clear tracking for cost and tonnage reconciliation to help meet funding requirements.
