Why Work at Dillon?

Employee Ownership

We are proud to be a 100% employee-owned firm. Through employee ownership, Dillon returns the financial benefit created by our project work to the very people who created that value.

Working at an employee-owned company is different. We are free of the influence of external stakeholders and shareholders and are empowered to be fully connected to our business. Because we are invested personally, we make decisions that benefit the long-term and greater interests of our business, our clients, and our communities, not just ourselves.

As an employee owner, you will own a piece of every project, every system, every client and every employee experience. Employee ownership gives you a personal stake in our success.

Employee ownership is available to all Dillon team members; over 60% of employees own shares in Dillon.

Innovation

To us, innovation is the execution of an idea that creates value for our business and our customers by applying novel solutions to meaningful problems.

When we think of innovation we often think of new technology, or a new way to apply existing technology. As a knowledge-based business, Dillon strives to always be at the forefront of technological advances. But innovation is also a new process, an original approach, or a fresh mindset on an ongoing situation. We depend on our team members across Dillon to not only embrace and apply the technology available to them, but to actively seek out, adapt and bring forward new and better ways to do things.

Regardless of their role in the company, all Dillon team members are encouraged to continually embrace their curiosity and ask “Why?”, “What if?”, and “How else?”, and then apply their creativity to find opportunities in the answers.

Growth & Development

We work hard to support and encourage individual growth, and invest more than double the national average per employee.

In addition to the abundance of career opportunities available to our people, we are also committed to directly investing in the personal and professional development of every Dillon team member at every stage of their career. Not only is Continuous Development one of our six core values, it is ingrained in our Mission and our Vision.

Ongoing skills and knowledge development, training programs, and mentoring are just the beginning. Our commitment to growth and development is also evidenced through increased decision-making opportunities, the achievement of personal milestones, taking on increased responsibilities, working on harder or more innovative projects, and participating in the creation of ‘better’ solutions.

As part of Dillon’s ongoing commitment to the development of our employees, Dillon staff are encouraged to take advantage of training programs that support the business needs. Dillon will also pay for work-related professional membership fees and offers financial support to employees who wish to pursue continuing education opportunities such as a university degree or college diploma.

“Growth at Dillon isn’t a solo climb, it’s a team sport. We believe the best development happens in that space between trust and support – where we give you the room to lead, while ensuring you never have to lead alone. We don’t just invest in your skills, we invest in your potential to shape our future. Because when we prioritize coaching over simply completing tasks, we aren’t just building better projects – we are building the people who will take us further than we could ever go on our own.”

Early Career Development

At Dillon, we offer more than just jobs, we foster careers.

Our Early Career Development (ECD) program is a dedicated growth engine for technical professionals with less than three years of consulting experience. The program provides double the development time of a typical technical role, empowering you to grow as fast as your ambition. Dillon’s ECD program includes:

  • Ongoing Technical Teammate Program: You will be paired with seasoned experts to fast-track your technical mastery.
  • Monthly ‘Level Up’ Sessions: During these masterclasses in the mechanics of consulting, you will collaborate with peers and company leaders to sharpen your business acumen, gain business development and sales expertise, and grow your leadership presence.
  • Annual Individual Development Plan (IDP): A key component of career management, your IDP is used to achieve short-term milestones en route to your longer-term career objectives.

The goal of the ECD is to help you function effectively, grow intentionally, and advance your career through a relentless commitment to development in alignment with Dillon’s operational goals.

You own your success, we provide the blueprint.
