Community Involvement

Local Donations

Every Dillon office is allocated an annual Donation budget to provide direct financial support to local registered charities.

Each year, Dillon designates funds to a donation budget which is allocated across Dillon offices based on the number of staff in each office. Decisions on where these funds should be allocated are made by the local office.

Environment & Community Investment Fund (ECIF)

Dillon established the ECIF in 2009 as a means to support our environmental, social, and community impacts. Since the inception of this fund, Dillon has contributed nearly $2M to our local communities.

The ECIF, which amounts to over 1% of our pre-tax profits, encourages employees to develop and participate in local community, environmental, and wellness initiatives of their choosing. Each Dillon office has its own ECIF committee that works to allocate ECIF resources at a local level.

The fund serves as a catalyst for activities that encourage a culture of volunteerism, community engagement, and environmental sustainability. Critical to this program are our employees themselves, who volunteer their time, energy, and skills to better the communities and environments in which we live and work.

Some examples of local ECIF activities include volunteering, providing materials or food resources to a Habitat for Humanity project or a local food bank; the purchase of energy efficient appliances, composting equipment, or bike racks for Dillon offices, study materials for students tutored by Dillon employees; and entry fees for Dillon employees participating in races for charities.

Mobilizing Our People for Positive Change

We are committed to operating our business in a manner that is aligned with our Core Values.

These values guide the projects we undertake, the communities in which we work, and the partners and suppliers we choose to rely on.

To reinforce this commitment, we refer to our collective actions to actively support community-focused projects that align with our core values as our “Values in Action” initiative.

We empower our employees to drive change by allocating dedicated resources for community engagement. Every regular Dillon employee is given one full day of paid time each year to volunteer in a Values in Action initiative.
