Beth Cowan was one of the contributing authors to ArticNet’s “From Science to Policy in the Eastern Canadian Arctic: an Integrated Regional Impact Study (IRIS) of Climate Change and Modernization” - Chapter 8: Coastal Environments and Drivers. The team of authors for this chapter was led by Dr. Trevor Bell, professor of Memorial University of Newfoundland and Dr. Donald Forbes, emeritus of Geological Survey of Canada. Chapter 8 summarizes the physical state and drivers of change in the Eastern Canadian Arctic including the effects of climate and sea-level change and their associated hazards.
Beth Cowan is a geologist based in Dillon's Yellowknife office and has been working in the Canadian Arctic for seven years.
