The Boyne Trunk Sanitary Sewer project was recently featured in Canadian Underground Infrastructure (CUI) July/August 2016. The featured article, “New Milton sewer tunnels through environmentally-sensitive areas”, written by Denis Viens, focuses on the use of trenchless technologies for the sewer crossing of four regulated watercourses and a field with a Bobolink habitat (a threatened species).
The project included an environmental assessment and subsequent design and construction phases for 8.65 km of large diameter (up to 2400 mm) gravity sanitary sewers. The project will be commissioned in late 2016.
