On January 17, 2016 a team from Dillon presented at xChange 2016 in Hamilton, ON. xChange is an annual conference hosted by Engineers Without Borders (EWB) to share ideas, highlight key social issues such as poverty and inequality, and explore ways of creating transformative change within our communities. The team consisted of Catherine Wallis, David Amorim, Fraser Mah, Kathryn Palmer, Kyle MacIntyre and Yena Ahadzie. The presentation showcased Dillon’s recent work on climate change and included a facilitated discussion on how, as engineers, we can show leadership through our work. Attendees took part in an interactive stakeholder engagement session that explored the role and responsibility of engineers in both technical and social contexts.
