Giving $75,000+ for our 75th year

In recognition of our 75th year, this holiday season we’ve given $75,000 (and then some!) to local charities to support efforts to reduce food insecurity.

These donations included $15,000 from our Saint John office to the Harbour Lights Campaign Inc., $15,000 from our London office to a variety of charitable organizations (London Food Bank, Inn Out of the Cold St. Thomas, Ailsa Craig & Area Food Bank, Ingersoll Salvation Army and Strathroy Salvation Army) and $15,000 from our Toronto office to @Building Roots (Canada). We also donated $2,000 to local causes from each of our other 17 offices across Canada.

We’re not done yet! As part of our pledge to donate one million meals, we’re going to provide pro-bono consulting services to selected partner organizations working on food insecurity in Canada. Our focus is on not-for-profit organizations and Indigenous organizations and communities.

We’re not only looking to provide one million meals, but we’re also looking to work on solving problems associated with the root of the causes of food insecurity and seeking to contribute to a transformation of the system for generations.
