Dillon Honoured with ACEC-MB Awards

Dillon was honoured with three Association of Consulting Engineering Companies Manitoba (ACEC-MB) Awards.

Manitoba Infrastructure's Project 1 of the All-Season Roads initiative was honoured with an Award of Excellence. It was completed in partnership with AECOM Canada Ltd. and KGS Group and included contract administration and construction supervision of a 158 km all-season road from PR304 to Berens River. The road consists of 23 individual road segments and nine bridges.

Plessis team
The City of Winnipeg's Plessis Road Twinning and Grade Separation at CN Redditt Subdivision project was honoured with an Award of Excellence. The project included a design to change a two-lane at-grade crossing of the CN mainline, to a four lane grade separated underpass with the addition of turn lanes and various intersection improvements to the three adjacent signalized intersections.  Dillon supported the project lead, AECOM Canada Ltd., with the environmental assessment, topographic survey, preliminary and detailed design of the roadworks, public consultation, utility coordination and construction administration for the roadworks.

Southwest Transitway team
The City of Winnipeg's Southwest Transitway Stadium Station design was honoured with an Award of Merit. The design was guided by the micro-simulation of post-event pedestrian paths for 32,000 spectators (from their seats, through the stadium gates, to the transit station, and the boarding of buses) and of transit operations (200 vehicles) through the station. Nine different station configurations were assessed to identify design guidelines for the functional design, subsequently undertaken by Dillon, and for the detailed design, undertaken by the City’s P3 partner for the transitway project.
