Dillon Fredericton actively participates in the Fredericton Community Kitchen Backpack Program. Each month, volunteers from the office pack more than 70 backpacks with 12-14 pounds of food for kids to take home over the weekend - two meals for a family of four for families in need.
On February 13, before their monthly visit, office volunteers delivered 861 pounds of food to the Kitchen’s new Student Hunger Building. In Food Banks Canada terms, this is a donation of over $2,000. The donation was a significant contribution to the backpack program for the next four weeks.
