Inspiration Port Credit Honoured with a 2017 Brownie Award

The City of Mississauga was honoured with a 2017 Brownie Award in the REACH OUT - Communication, Marketing and Public Engagement category, for the Inspiration Port Credit project. The Brownie’s recognize significant efforts for the “transition of contaminated lands in the best possible end use.” The City retained Dillon and Stoss to provide a strategic master plan for former Imperial Oil Lands and the Port Credit Harbour Marina (owned by Canada Lands Company).

Inspiration Port Credit included multiple modes and opportunities for public input, including an inspiring public kick-off meeting, a three-day ideas workshop, a bus tour, walking tours, a meeting to share the planning options and a meeting to discuss the draft Planning Framework and Implementation Guide.

The master plan created a comprehensive approach to the public and private realm of these lands and their relationship to the Village of Port Credit and wider context. Dillon assisted the City with the extensive collaborative stakeholder and public engagement program.
