Sarah Devereaux Honoured by Engineers Nova Scotia

The 2017/2018 Engineers Nova Scotia Council has renamed the Award for the Advancement of Women in Engineering to the S.L. Devereaux Award for the Advancement of Women in Engineering. The award recognizes engineers who, through their engineering and career achievements, have demonstrated noteworthy contributions for the advancement of women in the profession including being recognized as a role model within the profession. Renaming the award recognizes Sarah’s continued devotion and achievements in the engineering profession. 

Sarah was honoured with the inaugural Award for the Advancement of Women in Engineering in 2013. Since that time, she has been honoured with the 2014 Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Award Winner and as a Fellow of Engineers Canada. She currently serves as a Director for Engineers Canada.

Sarah is a partner and civil engineer at Dillon with experience in environmental and municipal projects. She has managed many large, multi-disciplined infrastructure projects on the East Coast and throughout Canada. In addition to project work, she has been active in the engineering community as a past president of Engineers Nova Scotia (2012-13) and the Consulting Engineers of Nova Scotia (2010-11).
