Bio

Bill has over 30 years of experience in all types of infrastructure projects including water and wastewater treatment and delivery, landfill expansions, facility development and infrastructure planning design and construction. He has managed and completed complex and contentious environmental assessments for all types of infrastructure, including landfill/solid waste, water supply, wastewater conveyance and treatment, roads and stormwater.

Boyne Trunk Sewer Preferred Alignment

Boyne Trunk Sanitary Sewer - Halton Region, ON

The South Halton Water and Wastewater Master Plan identified the need for a trunk sanitary sewer that could convey existing and future flows to the Mid-Halton Sewage Treatment Plant in Oakville. The existing sewage pump station and forcemain conveying sewage from Milton was at its maximum capacity. The Boyne Trunk Sewer was commissioned to replace the existing system. In 2008, Halton retained Dillon to complete the environmental assessment (EA) and subsequent design and construction phases for the large diameter (up to 2400 mm) gravity sewer.

Recycling is a key component of modern waste reduction. Community recycling centres (CRC) offer residents an opportunity to dispose of their household hazardous waste, recyclable materials, garbage and reusable goods in an efficient and environmentally sound manner. In 2005, Dillon was responsible for the preliminary design, detailed design, contract administration and construction observation services for the City of Hamilton, ON first CRC. Subsequently, in 2006 and 2007 Dillon was responsible for similar services for the City’s of Dundas, ON and Kenora, ON.
