Dillon Honoured with NAPEG 2019 Professional Award of Merit

Dillon was honoured to receive the 2019 Professional Award of Merit, for the Inuvik Water Treatment Plant, from Northwest Territories and Nunavut Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists (NAPEG) on March 14th, 2019.  The award recognizes and promotes excellence in applied engineering and/or geoscience completed in the Northwest Territories and/or Nunavut.

The Town of Inuvik is located 200 km north of the Arctic Circle in the beautiful and vast Mackenzie Delta. Inuvik has faced many challenges in providing its residents with access to a safe, reliable water supply. In 2017, the Town opened an improved $19M Water Treatment Plant (WTP) that produces necessary drinking water and fire water supply for their community. Previously, Inuvik operated and maintained two water supplies; dependent on the time of year. Both of these water supplies were reaching their intended life-spans and needed to be upgraded or replaced. Click here to read more about the project.
