Tom Young Honoured with Outstanding Advisor Award

Tom Young was honoured with an Outstanding Advisor Award by the Canada-China Agriculture and Food Development Exchange Centre Inc. (CCAGR). Tom was recognized for providing mentorship to Youming Zhao, CCAGR president, who joined the Ontario Institute of Agrologists in 2002. Since then, Tom has supported Mr. Zhao to create the CCAGR with the mandate to support Canadian and Chinese agricultural professionals, university professors, senior government officers and entrepreneurs.

Tom is a professional agrologist having been a member of the Ontario Institute of Agrologists (OIA) since 1989. He has mentored a number of young agrologists over the years.
