Dillon sponsored a toboggan and provided judging for the Great Northern Concrete Toboggan Race (GNCTR) held in Waterloo, ON, January 24 - 28, 2018. The was the 44th annual race and is one of the largest student-run engineering competitions in Canada.
Denis Viens acted as a technical safety judge, reviewing team safety submissions and assessing their suitability with respect to assumptions and competition rules. At the technical exhibition, Denis reviewed toboggans with respect to safety criteria and identified areas that should be addressed for deficiencies prior to the toboggan race on Saturday.
