David Krahn Honoured with Leadership Award

David Krahn was recognized by Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba with the Leadership Award. The award “recognizes outstanding achievement or influence towards major engineering or geoscientific works and developments undertaken for society’s long-term benefit and/or quality of life.” Dave was nominated for his exceptional leadership at Dillon. A mentor to many Dillon staff members, Dave is always keen to  provide wise counsel as needed. In his acceptance speech, Dave thanked Dillon for opportunities throughout his career, as well as his family and his wife Bernice for supporting him over the years.

Dave is a professional engineer and retired Dillon partner with over 40 years of experience in the planning, design and construction administration of a broad range of transportation facilities including highways, interchanges, arterial roads, transit, airport runways, taxiways and aprons. He has been a project manager or senior designer for numerous functional planning projects, transit improvement studies, route location and feasibility studies, detailed design assignments, as well as having participated in numerous public consultation programs. Some of his most recent award-winning projects include the Southwest Transitway and the Waverley West Arterial Roads Project.
