International Women in Engineering Day focuses attention on the amazing careers in engineering and technical roles for girls, and allows us to celebrate the achievements of our outstanding women engineers. This year the event celebrates it’s fourth year and the first year it is truly international.
In 2009, Dillon created Women in Dillon (WiD) to address a need for improvement in retaining female talent and the state of diversity within Dillon. As a company we are clear about our goals for equity, equality, diversity and inclusion to create, promote, and sustain a work environment that empowers women to have healthy and successful careers in the workplace.
Women in Dillon identifies potential challenges, barriers and potential solutions. WiD influence our internal policies, deliver topical sessions through “Our Stories”, which in the past have included Flexibility, Networking and Committees .WiD also assisted Talent Management with training on topics like Giving and Receiving Effective Feedback and Unconscious Bias and Gender Equality in the Workplace.
