International Women's Day celebrates the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity. It is about unity, celebration, reflection, advocacy and action - whatever that looks like globally - at a local level. International Women's Day has been occurring for well over a century - and continue's to grow stronger with each passing year.
In 2009, Dillon created Women in Dillon to address a need for improvement on the retaining female talent and the state of diversity within Dillon. As a company we are clear about our goals for equity, equality, diversity and inclusion to create, promote, and sustain a work environment that empowers women to have healthy and successful careers in the workplace.
Women in Dillon identifies potential challenges, barriers and potential solutions. We influence our internal policies, deliver topical sessions through “Our Stories” which in the past have included Flexibility, Networking, Committees,assisted Talent Management with training on topics like Giving and Receiving Effective Feedback and Unconscious Bias and Gender Equality in the Workplace.
