Michael Enright Featured in Globe and Mail

Michael Enright was featured in the Globe and Mail’s “Alberta, Saskatchewan turn focus to renewables” article on November 18. The article focuses on the shift of renewable energy development from Ontario to western provinces including Alberta and Saskatchewan. Michael spoke about how Dillon works with wind and solar developers to evaluate potential projects and coordinate the permitting and approvals process.

Reducing the carbon footprint of the electrical grid is an important component of transitioning to a lower carbon economy. Saskatchewan and Alberta have set ambitious renewable energy targets to achieve this transition. Many of the clients that we have worked with over the years are taking up the challenge to develop projects in these two provinces over the next decade.

Michael is an associate at Dillon and leads the renewable energy sub-sector. He has sixteen years of professional consulting experience and has been involved with renewable energy projects for thirteen of those years.  Michael has acquired an in-depth knowledge of the development process, from the earliest stages through to operation, under the various levels of federal, provincial and municipal legislative frameworks.
