The final draft of the National Physical Development Plan (NPDP) for the Government of the Commonwealth of Dominica is complete. Dillon provided land use planning and training services for this project, which resulted in the formulation of the NPDP that will guide the country’s growth, development, and conservation.
The NPDP envisions Dominica to a horizon year of 2035 with lands identified for settlement, agricultural production, environmental protection, as well as lands at risk from natural hazards. The plan includes specific project proposals aligned to the country’s long-term goals for socio-economic advancement, infrastructure needs, climate change risk management, and institutional strengthening. The work builds upon the Cabinet-approved National Land Use Policy of May 2015 that was prepared by Dillon.
