Whitney Moore Presented at Headwater Drainage Workshop

Whitney Moore presented  “Implementation of the Headwater Drainage Features Guidelines in Eastern Ontario” at the Headwater Drainage Feature Guideline Implementation: Practitioners Experiences — Eastern Ontario Workshop on November 7, in Ottawa, ON. The presentation focused on the application and adaptation of the guidelines to different types of projects and how headwaters assessments fit within a planning framework. The workshop provided an understanding of how these guidelines are being implemented, what is working well, and areas of improvement that may be required moving forward.

Whitney is a biologist with over seven years of professional experience in both the public and private sectors. She is knowledgeable in both terrestrial and aquatic habitats and has expertise in wildlife and habitat protection requirements. Her work with Dillon has included completion of natural heritage assessments for large-scale solar projects; and environmental impact studies and headwater assessment reports for several residential developments in both Ottawa and the Greater Toronto Area. Much of her work has also involved species at risk permitting and Fisheries and Oceans Canada approvals.
