Dillon is honoured to have been awarded the 2016 Landscape Ontario Award of Excellence in the commercial construction - multi-residential and industrial (over $250,000) category, for the construction of the first phase of the Lake Wilcox Waterfront Promenade for the Town of Richmond Hill, ON. The annual awards were presented by the Landscape Ontario Horticultural Trades Association for excellence in green building. Landscape Ontario’s mission is to be the leader in representing, promoting and fostering a favourable climate for the advancement of the horticulture industry in Ontario.
Lake Wilcox is a 54 acre (22 ha) parcel of land comprising of diverse natural systems on the eastern shores of the largest kettle lake in the Oak Ridges Moraine. Dillon led a multidisciplinary team of biologists, architects and water resource engineers to prepare a master plan, and design a $10M community centre and park to accommodate a range of active and passive park facilities on the shores of the lake.
