A team of wastewater engineers represented Dillon at the Water Environment Association of Ontario (WEAO) annual conference in Niagara Falls, ON on April 11th and 12th. Staff worked in collaboration with our clients to develop the presentations that were delivered at the conference.
- Bram Bontje (Dillon) presented “Leamington Pollution Control Centre: Odour Assessment and Chemical Treatment” with co-authors Louis Tasfi (Dillon) and Kit Woods, Municipality of Leamington, with acknowledgments to Jason Charles, Shannon Belleau and the Leamington Pollution Control Centre operations staff.
- Marcy McKillop (Dillon) presented “Wildwood Sewage Pumping Station: The Long Forcemain Tail” co-authored with Rob Bernardi, Chatham-Kent Public Utilities Commission Management and Operations staff, Tihamer Csiba (Dillon) and Matt Murdock (Dillon).
- Mike Thomson (Dillon) presented the “Start-Up of Biological Treatment at the US Steel Canada Hamilton Works Coke Oven Wastewater Treatment Plant” co-authored with Louis Tasfi (Dillon) and Carter Dumont from USSC Hamilton Works.
In addition to the presentations, Tiffany Chai (Dillon) was nominated for Outstanding Young Professional, and began her term as chair of the Young Professionals Committee and Board Member for WEAO.
