Eha Naylor has been appointed chair of the City of Markham’s Urban Design Review Panel. Markham is one of the fastest growing municipalities in the GTA with proposed growth in intensification areas, such as Markham Centre (including the new campus of York University), Langstaff, Buttonville and Cornell Centre. The City has established this panel as a two-year pilot project to advise staff with major complex applications within intensification areas. The seven person panel is comprised of architects, urban designers, landscape architects and engineers. The panel acts in an advisory capacity providing expert, professional design advice in planning, architecture, landscape architecture and transportation planning.
Eha is a partner with over 30 years of consulting experience in landscape architecture, environmental planning and design. In 2014, Eha received the OALA’s Pinnacle Award for Landscape Architectural Excellence. Eha is currently appointed to the federal government’s National Capital Commission Advisory Committee for Planning, Design and Realty and serves on the Landscape Architecture Canada Foundation Board.
