Alex Taylor and Daniel Hoang will present at the “Great Cities, Great Regions, Prairie-Urban Transformations” 2015 Alberta Professional Planners Conference on September 16-19. Their presentation “Development Approvals: Transforming the Face of Quick-Service Restaurants (QSR)” will focus on recent works to assist a variety of QSR clients to obtain development approvals for over 200 new and renovated stores in over 100 municipalities in western Canada. The presentation illustrates some of the challenges Dillon has faced, includes ideas that have made the process easier for both municipality and applicant, and provides a comparative analysis of processing times and fee structures for development permits, sign permits, patio permits, building permits and health approvals.
