University of Toronto celebrates 125 Years of Architecture with special presentation by Eha Naylor

The University of Toronto is celebrating 125 years of the establishment of its architecture program and 50 years of its landscape architecture program. To celebrate these anniversaries, the University held a number of dialogues on the work of their faculty and alumni’s current practices.

Eha Naylor presented with fellow alumni Michael McLelland, and Liat Margolis with moderation by Graeme Stewart, on “Practice in an Expanded Field.” Eha’s portion of the program focused on the evolution of landscape architecture from 1965 through today and on to an envisioned 2050. The presentation covers foundational work by landscape architects, resource management, environmental concerns and climate change, all of which have had significant impacts on how the field is studied and practiced.
