Rory Baksh was elected Chair of the Ontario Professional Planners Institute (OPPI) Professional Standards and Registration Committee (PSRC) for a three-year term effective January 2020. The OPPI has the mandate to grant Registered Professional Planner (RPP) designations, govern the rights and responsibilities of its members and set academic, experience and examination requirements for membership. The PSRC is responsible for professional standards development, oversight and impact assessment, Continuous Professional Learning standards; and adjudicating on membership application issues.
Rory has over 21 years of experience in planning and consultation. He has worked on projects for both public and private sector clients, ranging from small site-specific studies to multi-million dollar redevelopment strategies. He has worked extensively throughout Ontario, in many parts of Canada, and internationally.
