The City of Welland is partnering with Dillon and Niagara College for the Atlas Landfill Remediation Concept Plan for future public use of the site. The landfill is approaching its operational lifespan and requires a detailed plan for closure and future land use opportunities.
Dillon and Faculty of Niagara College will work with students of the School of Environmental & Horticultural Studies to provide detailed research of the site and design a public engagement program for key stakeholders. The online survey component of the public engagement program is now underway and a public open house is scheduled for June 28th.
