A Dillon team of planners participated in the Building Resilience 2017 conference, held June 17-20, in Calgary, AB. Dillon was a platinum partner of the national conference hosted by the Canadian Institute of Planners and the Alberta Professional Planners Institute.
- Morgan Boyco and Paolo Mazza participated in “Technological Advancements and Disruptions: Considerations for Planners” showing how virtual reality is moving into planning and public engagement and making changes in workplace automation.
- Pat Maloney participated in “Building a resilient career: learn some lessons from the Fellows”, with Fellows talking about their career changing lessons, and thoughts on skills future planners will require to survive.
- Bill Menzies participated in “Transportation Plans: Case Studies from Edmonton and Mississauga”, exploring public engagement, shifting transportation demands and preferences, land use and accommodating growth.
