Paul Barker’s article “What is GIS? Exploring the ‘new’ GIS” was published in Gogeomatics Canada. Gogeomatics provides “content, services and products to the Canadian geomatics community.” The article explores the growth of “Web GIS” as an information sharing and collaboration platform for organizations and key stakeholders.
Paul is a geomatics analyst with over 12 years of experience working with GIS and remote sensing. Paul’s projects include the development of Collector for ArcGIS while he was at ESRI and has developed a number of applications in ArcPad, created custom digitizing applications, and developed numerous map automation workflows.
