Dillon Presents at the 2015 Atlantic Planners Institute (API) Conference

Dillon planners present at the 2015 API Conference held from October 4-6 in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador. Gay Drescher will discuss initiatives in regional cooperation, provision of services and planning as part of the Atlantic Initiatives in Regional Cooperation and Planning session. Gay and Stephen Stone will present a Kingsclear First Nation case study of diversity, resilience and ingenuity for two diverse planning projects as they work to build capacity, generate economic development, create a well-informed community vision and establish a culture of change to assert itself as a sustainable community by 2030.

Gay is an associate and planner with over 27 years’ experience in environmental assessment, energy sector regulation and government administration. She is the Environmental Assessment Specialist and the Land Use Planner for Dillon in Atlantic Canada. She extensive experience in stakeholder consultation, particularly in hosting open house sessions as well as focus group discussions for specific developments. Gay is Vice President of the New Brunswick Association of Planners, Secretary of the Atlantic Planners Institute and a Jury Member of the Canadian Institute of Planners Award of Planning Excellence Board.

Stephen is a planner with three years' experience in transportation planning, community engagement, and municipal development planning. Stephen is currently assisting TDL corporation and Shoppers Drug Mart with obtaining regulatory approvals for new developments and renovations across Atlantic Canada.
