Much consideration has been given at Dillon to our purpose as a business why we do what we do. We call that our mission. We have also thought long and hard about what success means to us, and how we should measure it. We call that our vision.
The people at Dillon are well-educated and highly trained in more than 30 distinct disciplines. To say that we spent years at school studying our disciplines, entered our chosen professions and selected consulting as the means through which we practice our craft, only to make a profit, betrays what being professionals means to us. What gets us up in the morning is the deep desire to help and guide our clients in ways that will make them successful. We do that through what we know best the application of science, technology and management to our clients’ opportunities and needs. And we strive to do it with the utmost integrity, guided by our duty to our clients, our communities and ourselves. That is the Dillon mission.
But like you, we want to be successful as an organization. Success to us means that the best organizations put us at the top of their list of consultants they want to work with. Yes, we want to be fairly compensated for the work we do, and for the many years we’ve invested in learning and honing our disciplines. But we also recognize that financial success only occurs when we add significant value to our clients’ businesses. So our vision of success our standard, is that the clients we serve will respect us, enjoy working with us and view us as partners in their success.
